The Electronics Pages.

What's it all about?

This part of the website provides for my interest in Electronics - mostly in support of astronomy hardware.

So what's here then?

The things I've worked on in the past include a complete telescope control system using the I2c serial interface, stepper motors and encoders, CCD camera controllers, magnetometers and ADC projects.

What's new ?

The CCD camera development is still continuing.
Have a look in the USB-CCD section for more details.

What's current ?

Continuing projects in Electronics include:
  • Telescope control using I2C - the autoscope project. Full schematics here
  • Aurora observations using a flux-gate magnetometer. This is a working mangnetometer from the original Electronics World design of 1989
  • Build-your-own CCD Camera - CCD preamp, bias drivers etc, Full schematics
  • Orcad design libraries & PCB footprints suitable for use in Protel etc.Orcad libraries

There is also an extensive datasheet database in support fo the projects found on these pages . datasheets
