AIT - Assembly, Integration & Test Camera & lamp housing for use within the test cryostat chamber. Use of 12v Halogen lamp bulbs and their ceramic mounts prevents outgassing problems and solves the illumination issue when the cryostat door closes!

Durham University Adaptive Optics camera body design for use on the Gemini Telescope. This camera was designed to operate at 1000 frames per second. For a CCD this is very rapid. CCDs also require intrinsic cooling to improve the singal to noise ration by removing thermal noise, so the detector was mounted behind a small window on watercooled heatsink for maximum efficiency.s
